Enrico Pace

I had the opportunity to photograph Maestro Enrico Pace while he was giving piano masterclasses in Maastricht. We had very little time, so I was only able to take a few shots before he had to leave for another engagement.

What I like most about this portrait is the intensity of his gaze, which seems to reflect the many years of experience and dedication he has devoted to his craft. He is a remarkable pianist, and I remember listening to his recordings of Liszt during my bachelor’s studies.
