Umut Sağlam

I met Umut during a chamber music masterclass in Sweden, where we performed Brahms’s *Piano Quintet in F minor*. The ensemble consisted of Umut Saglam on cello, Ashley Tong on first violin, Yulia Petkevich on second violin, Laurie Rominger on viola, and myself on piano. Under the guidance of Professor Antti Siirala, we performed in Trollhättan in February 2018.

Umut is an incredibly talented musician. I remember that he took his cello out for no more than 30 seconds for this photograph, as the temperature was around −15°C at the time!
